Less Is More

Nowadays we live in a society which people want things fast, quick, easy and more of a good thing.  I am here to tell you that more of a good thing may not always be a good thing.

Lets take getting in better shape for example, I bet almost all of your friends, family members, etc. want to either lose pounds, gain some muscle, or the dreaded phrase “tone up.”  And of course, you have seen it just as much as I have, people hit the weights, cardio, gym hard everyday for 3/4 months make some gains and then stop because well they have hit a wall.

I am here to help those people and steer them in the right direction, now here’s how I look at the battle of getting in shape.  I look at it like a boxer in a fight.  If one boxer keeps getting punched in the face and knocked to the ground, he/she will never be able to win or even be competitive in the fight from the floor, correct?  I look at your body/muscles the same if you are hitting the weights hard everyday or even every other day how can your muscles ever recover and get back into the “fight”… they can’t.

So the solution: hit the gym, hard once or twice a week, with something called HIIT workouts (more on that in a few weeks).  Give your body time to recover and get back into the “fight.”  Now for all you gym rats reading this right now, which basically live in the gym, please don’t knock my method/strategy until you have tried it.
